Fellowship at Bell Shoals Church of Christ

Fellowship is the Bible text’s way of expressing the idea of sharing and we love sharing at Bell Shoals Church of Christ because it’s what the earliest Christians did. We’re told they “devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). After we have worshiped together we enjoy a short time of fellowship where we have coffee and pastries before going on to join in studying the Bible. We also take time to have lunch together in what we call “flocks” or smaller groupings of members (our Fellowship Hall couldn’t accommodate the whole congregation at one time) and we announce which groups or flocks will be lunching on a particular Sunday and list these on the Shepherds Flock Lunch calendar on the calendar page HERE.

The congregation also has several fellowship events during the year at which we enjoy one another’s company and join in an activity like the “Trivia at Bell Shoals” evening where teams of members compete for a trophy – all in fun, of course. Then there’s the night when our cooks compete in a “Chili cook-off” and other special events. Since fellowship involves sharing we also take part in contributing to provide for special needs that brothers or sisters may encounter.
